Timeless Chicken Parmigiana Delight

Ingredients

2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 cup all-purpose flour
3 large eggs, beaten
2 cups breadcrumbs
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 cups marinara sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp dried oregano
1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Season chicken breasts with salt and black pepper.
3. Dredge chicken in flour, dip into beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan cheese.
4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown chicken on both sides.
5. Place chicken in a casserole dish and cover with marinara sauce.
6. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese and oregano on top.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
8. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.

Storage

Cover the casserole tightly with foil or plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the covered dish for about 20 minutes or until heated through.
