Timeless Baked Acorn Squash

Ingredients

2 medium acorn squashes
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
2. Cut each acorn squash in half and remove the seeds.
3. Place the squash halves cut-side up in a baking dish.
4. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat.
5. Stir in brown sugar, maple syrup, cinnamon, salt, and pepper into the melted butter.
6. Pour the butter mixture evenly over the squash halves.
7. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil.
8. Bake for 50 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the squash is tender.
9. Serve warm.
