Teriyaki Glazed Chicken

Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup mirin
1/4 cup sake
2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
2 green onions, chopped for garnish
1 tbsp sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

1. In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, mirin, sake, and sugar. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
2. In a skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger, sauté until fragrant.
3. Add chicken thighs to the skillet, cook until browned on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
4. Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken, reduce heat to low, and simmer until the sauce thickens and chicken is cooked through, about 10 minutes.
5. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Storage

Store any leftover chicken in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheat the chicken in a skillet over low heat until warmed through, adding a splash of water if necessary to loosen the sauce.
