Tender Slow-Cooked Beef Short Ribs

Ingredients

2 lbs boneless beef short ribs
1 tbsp olive oil
1 large onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup beef broth
1/2 cup red wine
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp salt

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 325°F.
2. In a large Dutch oven, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
3. Brown the ribs on all sides, then remove and set aside.
4. In the same pot, add the chopped onion and cook until translucent.
5. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
6. Stir in the beef broth, red wine, soy sauce, tomato paste, dried thyme, black pepper, and salt.
7. Return the ribs to the pot, making sure they are submerged in the liquid.
8. Cover the pot and place it in the oven.
9. Cook for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the ribs are tender and falling apart.

Storage

Store cooled ribs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Reheat in a preheated oven at 300°F for 20-25 minutes or until heated through.
