Ingredients
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon paprika
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 pork shoulder (about 4-5 lbs)
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup BBQ sauce
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 300°F.
2. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, paprika, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
3. Rub the spice mixture all over the pork shoulder.
4. Place the pork in a large roasting pan and pour apple cider vinegar, chicken broth, and Worcestershire sauce around it.
5. Cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 6-7 hours, or until the pork is fork-tender.
7. Remove the pork from the oven and let it rest for about 15 minutes.
8. Using two forks, shred the pork into bite-sized pieces.
9. Mix in the BBQ sauce and combine well.
10. Serve warm on buns, in tacos, or with sides of your choice.
Storage
Store leftover pulled pork in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheating
To reheat, place the pulled pork in a skillet over medium heat, adding a splash of broth or water to keep it moist, and stir until heated through.
