Ingredients

1 lb cube steak
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 cup beef broth
1/2 cup sliced onions
1/4 cup sliced mushrooms
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp butter

Instructions

1. Mix flour, salt, and black pepper in a shallow dish.
2. Dredge cube steaks in the flour mixture, coating both sides.
3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
4. Add cube steaks to the hot oil and sear each side for about 3-4 minutes until browned.
5. Remove steaks from skillet and set aside.
6. In the same skillet, add onions and mushrooms; sauté until softened.
7. Stir in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce; bring to a simmer.
8. Return steaks to the skillet, cover, and reduce heat to low.
9. Simmer for 15-20 minutes until steaks are tender.
10. Stir in butter until melted before serving.

Storage

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Reheat in a skillet over medium heat until heated through or microwave on medium power for about 2-3 minutes.
