Ingredients

1 lb boneless chicken thighs, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 cup fresh tangerine juice
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup rice vinegar
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon tangerine zest
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon ginger, minced
1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
3 tablespoons cornstarch
3 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/4 cup green onions, chopped
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste

Instructions

1. In a bowl, mix tangerine juice, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, tangerine zest, garlic, ginger, and chili flakes.
2. In a separate bowl, combine cornstarch and water to create a slurry.
3. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
4. Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper, add to pan, and cook until golden brown on all sides.
5. Remove chicken and set aside.
6. Pour the tangerine sauce mixture into the same pan and bring to a simmer.
7. Add cornstarch slurry to the sauce, stirring constantly until thickened.
8. Return chicken to the pan and toss in the sauce to coat evenly.
9. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Storage

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Reheat in a skillet over medium heat until heated through, or microwave on medium power for 2-3 minutes.
