Ingredients
4 lbs boneless pork shoulder
1 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup honey
1 tbsp smoked paprika
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
2 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp olive oil
1 large onion, sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions
1. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, honey, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Rub this mixture over the pork shoulder evenly.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the pork shoulder on all sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side.
3. Place sliced onions and minced garlic in the bottom of a slow cooker. Place the seared pork on top.
4. Pour chicken broth, apple cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce over the pork.
5. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
