Ingredients

4 lbs apples (peeled, cored, and sliced)
1 cup apple cider
1/2 cup pure maple syrup
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp cloves
1/4 tsp allspice
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

1. Combine apples, apple cider, maple syrup, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and allspice in a slow cooker.
2. Cook on low for 10 hours, stirring occasionally until apples are very soft.
3. Puree the mixture using an immersion blender until smooth.
4. Stir in vanilla extract and salt, and cook for an additional hour on low.
5. Let cool before transferring to airtight containers.

Storage

Store in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks or freeze for longer storage.

Reheating

Gently warm in a saucepan over low heat or use the microwave at low power, stirring occasionally until heated through.
