Ingredients

2 oz bourbon
1 oz fresh orange juice
1 tbsp honey
1 slice of fresh ginger
1 cinnamon stick
1 star anise
1 cup boiling water
1 lemon wheel for garnish
1 orange wheel for garnish
Dash of ground cloves

Instructions

1. In a heat-resistant glass, combine bourbon, fresh orange juice, and honey.
2. Add a slice of fresh ginger, cinnamon stick, and star anise.
3. Pour 1 cup of boiling water over the mixture and stir well to dissolve the honey.
4. Allow the spices to steep for 2-3 minutes.
5. Remove the ginger, cinnamon, and star anise.
6. Garnish with a lemon wheel and an orange wheel.
7. Add a dash of ground cloves for an extra aromatic kick.
8. Serve immediately while hot.

Storage

Store any leftover mixture without garnish in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

Gently reheat the mixture in a saucepan over low heat until warm; do not boil.
