Southern Bourbon Pecan Pie

Ingredients

1 9-inch pie crust, unbaked
1 cup pecan halves
1 cup dark corn syrup
1 cup granulated sugar
3 large eggs
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/4 cup bourbon
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Arrange the pecan halves evenly in the unbaked pie crust.
3. In a medium bowl, whisk together corn syrup, sugar, eggs, melted butter, bourbon, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
4. Pour the mixture over the pecans in the pie crust.
5. Place the pie on a baking sheet and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top is a deep golden brown.
6. Allow the pie to cool completely before serving.

Storage

Store the pie covered at room temperature for up to 2 days or in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Reheating

To reheat, warm individual slices in a microwave for 15-20 seconds or place the entire pie in a preheated oven at 325°F for 10-15 minutes.
