Smoky Tater Tot Casserole
A delightful twist on the classic tater tot casserole, featuring smoky bacon and sharp cheddar cheese for a rich and satisfying main dish. Perfect for family dinners and gatherings.

Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 lb smoked bacon, chopped
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup sour cream
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
2 lbs frozen tater tots
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook chopped bacon until crispy. Remove bacon and drain excess fat, leaving about 1 tablespoon in the skillet.
3. Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Add chopped onion and minced garlic and sauté until soft.
4. Stir in cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, half of the cheddar cheese, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
5. Transfer the mixture to a 9x13 inch baking dish. Layer the frozen tater tots evenly on top.
6. Sprinkle remaining cheddar cheese and cooked bacon over the tater tots.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until the tater tots are golden and crispy.
8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Storage
Store leftover casserole in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheating
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 10-15 minutes or until heated through.
