Smoky Chipotle Deviled Eggs

Ingredients

6 large eggs
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1/2 teaspoon chipotle powder
1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
Pickled jalapeño slices for garnish

Instructions

1. Place the eggs in a single layer in a saucepan and cover with cold water.
2. Bring water to a boil over medium-high heat; once boiling, cover the saucepan and remove from heat. Let sit for 10 minutes.
3. After 10 minutes, transfer eggs to an ice bath to cool for 5 minutes.
4. Peel the eggs and slice them in half lengthwise.
5. Remove yolks and place them in a medium bowl; mash with a fork.
6. Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, chipotle powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to the yolks and mix until smooth.
7. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg whites.
8. Garnish with chopped chives and a slice of pickled jalapeño.
9. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.

Storage

Place deviled eggs in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days.

Reheating
