Ingredients
8 oz elbow macaroni
2 tbsp unsalted butter
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
2 cups whole milk
2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup smoked gouda cheese, shredded
6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions and drain.
2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat and whisk in flour to form a roux.
3. Gradually add milk, whisking constantly until thickened.
4. Stir in cheddar and gouda cheeses until melted and smooth.
5. Add smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
6. Combine the cheese sauce with the macaroni, stirring to coat evenly.
7. Fold in crumbled bacon and serve hot.
