Savory Spiced Cabbage Rolls

Ingredients
1 large cabbage
1 lb ground beef
1 cup cooked rice
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground allspice
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 cup beef broth
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Bring a large pot of water to boil. Remove core from cabbage and separate leaves. Blanch leaves in boiling water for 2-3 minutes until flexible. Drain and set aside.
3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sauté until translucent.
4. In a bowl, combine ground beef, cooked rice, sautéed onion and garlic, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
5. Lay a cabbage leaf flat, place 2-3 tbsp of the beef mixture at the base, and roll tightly, tucking in the sides.
6. Arrange rolls in a baking dish. Combine diced tomatoes, tomato paste, and beef broth, then pour over rolls.
7. Cover with foil and bake for 60 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes. Serve warm.
Storage
Store cabbage rolls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheating
Reheat in a microwave-safe dish on high for 2-3 minutes or until heated through.
