Savory Slow Cooker Pork with Apples

Ingredients
2 lbs pork shoulder
2 large apples, sliced
1 large onion, sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup apple cider
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
1. Season the pork shoulder with salt, pepper, and cinnamon.
2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and sear the pork until browned on all sides.
3. Transfer the pork to the slow cooker.
4. Add sliced apples, onions, and minced garlic around the pork.
5. In a bowl, mix apple cider and brown sugar, then pour over the pork and vegetables.
6. Sprinkle fresh thyme leaves over the top.
7. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until pork is tender and easily shredded.
8. Serve with the cooked apples and onions as a garnish.
Storage
