Ingredients
4 bone-in pork chops, about 1 inch thick
2 tbsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
1 tsp fresh rosemary, chopped
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup chicken broth
1 tbsp unsalted butter
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
3. In a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil.
4. Add pork chops to the skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
5. Remove pork chops from the skillet and set aside.
6. In the same skillet, add minced garlic, fresh thyme, and fresh rosemary, sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
7. Pour in chicken broth and apple cider vinegar, then deglaze the skillet by scraping any brown bits from the bottom.
8. Return the pork chops to the skillet, spoon the sauce over them, then transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.
9. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the internal temperature of the pork chops reaches 145°F (63°C).
10. Remove from oven, add a pat of butter on each chop, and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Storage
Store leftover pork chops in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheating
Reheat the pork chops in a preheated oven at 325°F (163°C) for 10-15 minutes, or until warmed through.
