Savory Herb & Apple Dressing

Ingredients
10 cups cubed stale bread
1 cup unsalted butter
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 cups celery, diced
2 Granny Smith apples, peeled and chopped
1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh sage, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 cups chicken broth
2 large eggs, beaten
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onion and celery, cooking until softened, about 7 minutes.
3. Stir in apples, parsley, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes.
4. In a large bowl, combine the bread cubes with the sautéed mixture.
5. Pour in the chicken broth and beaten eggs, mixing gently until well combined.
6. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
7. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes or until golden brown on top.
Storage
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheating
Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Place the dressing in an oven-safe dish, cover with foil, and reheat for 15-20 minutes.
