Savory Hash Brown Casserole with Bacon and Cheddar

Ingredients

2 lbs frozen hash browns
1 cup sour cream
1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup chopped green onions
1 lb bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sour cream, cream of chicken soup, 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese, chopped green onions, cooked bacon, melted butter, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.
3. Gently fold in the frozen hash browns into the mixture until well coated.
4. Transfer the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
5. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese on top.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
7. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Storage

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Reheat individual portions in the microwave for 1-2 minutes or in the oven at 350°F until heated through.
