Savory Chicken Marsala

Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil
8 ounces cremini mushrooms, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup Marsala wine
1 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

1. Pound chicken breasts to 1/2-inch thickness and coat in a mixture of flour, salt, and pepper.
2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook chicken until browned, about 4 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, add mushrooms and garlic, sautéing until mushrooms are golden, about 5 minutes.
4. Pour in Marsala wine; simmer to reduce by half, about 2 minutes.
5. Stir in chicken broth and heavy cream; bring to a light boil.
6. Return chicken to the skillet, cooking until sauce thickens and chicken is fully cooked, about 6 minutes.
7. Stir in butter and sprinkle with parsley before serving.

Storage

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Reheat gently on the stove or in the microwave until heated through.
