Ingredients

1 lb ground beef
1 onion, diced

2 stalks celery, chopped
2 carrots, diced
4 cups chicken broth
3 cups potatoes, peeled and cubed

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup butter
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp mustard powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup chopped pickles for garnish
1 tbsp fresh chives, chopped

Instructions

1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked.
2. Add the diced onion, minced garlic, chopped celery, and diced carrots, and cook until the vegetables are tender.
3. Stir in the flour and butter, cooking until the mixture becomes golden.
4. Gradually add the chicken broth, stirring constantly to prevent lumps.
5. Add the cubed potatoes, bringing the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer until the potatoes are tender.
6. Stir in the heavy cream, shredded cheddar cheese, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard powder, allowing the cheese to melt completely.
7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
8. Serve hot, garnished with chopped pickles and fresh chives.
