Savory Broccoli Bake

Ingredients
4 cups fresh broccoli florets
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 large egg, beaten
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Steam broccoli florets for about 5 minutes until bright green and slightly tender.
3. In a large bowl, combine shredded cheddar cheese, cream of mushroom soup, mayonnaise, beaten egg, and chopped onion. Stir in salt and black pepper.
4. Fold in the steamed broccoli and mix until evenly coated.
5. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
6. In a small bowl, combine breadcrumbs and melted butter, then sprinkle over the casserole.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Storage
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheating
Reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes or until heated through.
