Ingredients
2 tbsp olive oil
1 large onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 lb ground beef
1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
1 cup pumpkin puree
1 tbsp tomato paste
1/2 cup beef broth
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp dried rosemary
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until onion is translucent.
3. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
4. Stir in crushed tomatoes, pumpkin puree, and tomato paste.
5. Add beef broth, thyme, rosemary, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and pepper, stirring well.
6. Simmer on low heat for 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
7. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and incorporated.
8. Serve over your favorite pasta and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
