Ingredients

2 lbs Russet potatoes
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup whole milk
2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Pepper to taste
1 tablespoon unsalted butter

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Peel and thinly slice the potatoes to about 1/8-inch thickness.
3. In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, milk, and garlic, then bring to a simmer over medium heat.
4. Butter a baking dish and arrange the potato slices in overlapping layers.
5. Pour the cream mixture over the potatoes, ensuring they are well covered.
6. Season each layer with salt and pepper to taste.
7. Sprinkle Gruyere and Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.
8. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the top is golden and potatoes are tender.
10. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Storage

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 15 minutes or until warmed through.
