Ingredients
1 ½ lbs sweet potatoes
½ cup butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
½ cup packed brown sugar
½ cup whole milk
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
¼ teaspoon ground ginger
¼ teaspoon ground cloves
1 pre-made 9-inch pie crust
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Peel and cube sweet potatoes, then boil them in a large pot until tender, about 20 minutes.
3. Drain the sweet potatoes and mash them until smooth.
4. In a large bowl, combine mashed sweet potatoes, butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, milk, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves.
5. Mix until well combined and creamy.
6. Pour the sweet potato mixture into the prepared pie crust and smooth the top.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for 55 to 60 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
8. Allow to cool before serving.
Storage
Store the pie covered in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
Reheating
Reheat slices in the microwave for 20-30 seconds or warm the entire pie in a 300°F oven for 10-15 minutes.
