Ingredients

1 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the peanut butter, butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture and mix until well combined.
5. Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan. Sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the top.
6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
7. Allow to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before cutting into bars.
