Mushroom & Tofu Delight Dumplings

A savory and aromatic twist on classic dumplings with earthy mushrooms and protein-rich tofu. Perfect for a cozy evening meal.

Ingredients

1 cup finely chopped mushrooms
1 cup crumbled firm tofu
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp sesame oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp grated ginger
1/4 cup finely chopped scallions
1 pack dumpling wrappers
1/4 cup water for sealing
2 tbsp vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

1. In a medium bowl, combine mushrooms, tofu, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and scallions. Mix well.
2. Place a dumpling wrapper on a clean surface and add about 1 tablespoon of filling in the center.
3. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold in half, and pinch to seal. Repeat with remaining filling and wrappers.
4. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add dumplings in a single layer and cook until bottoms are golden, about 2-3 minutes.
5. Add 1/4 cup of water to the skillet, cover, and steam the dumplings for 5-7 minutes, or until wrappers are tender and filling is cooked through.

Storage

To store, place dumplings in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days.

Reheating

To reheat, steam dumplings for 5 minutes until heated through.
