Mini Sliders with Caramelized Onions

Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
12 mini slider buns
2 large onions, thinly sliced
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
4 oz cheese of choice (e.g., cheddar, Swiss), sliced
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
Instructions
1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add onions and cook for 25-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until caramelized.
2. While onions cook, in a bowl, combine ground beef, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Form into 12 small patties.
3. Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties for 3-4 minutes per side, until desired doneness.
4. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty to melt.
5. Toast slider buns on the grill or in the oven for 2 minutes until golden.
6. Assemble sliders: spread Dijon mustard on the bottom bun, add the patty with melted cheese, top with caramelized onions, and finish with the top bun.
Storage
Store leftover sliders in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheating
Reheat sliders in a preheated oven at 350°F for 10 minutes or until heated through.
