Maple Apple Crisp

Ingredients

6 cups of sliced apples
1/2 cup of pure maple syrup
1/3 cup of all-purpose flour
1/2 cup of rolled oats
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1/3 cup of unsalted butter, softened
1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1 tablespoon of lemon juice

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Mix until the apples are well coated.
3. Transfer the apple mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish.
4. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, oats, brown sugar, salt, and softened butter to form a crumbly topping.
5. Sprinkle the oat topping evenly over the apple mixture in the baking dish.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the apples are tender.
7. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm.

Storage

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Reheat in a preheated oven at 325°F (160°C) for 10-15 minutes or until warmed through.
