Ingredients
2 cups fresh blueberries
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 tbsp lemon zest
1 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a mixing bowl, combine the blueberries, 1/2 cup of sugar, and lemon zest. Stir to mix well.
3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
4. Add the milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
5. Pour the batter into a greased 9x9 inch baking dish.
6. Evenly sprinkle the blueberry mixture over the batter.
7. Combine the remaining sugar with cinnamon and sprinkle on top.
8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
