Ingredients
4 cups all-purpose flour
1 package active dry yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
1/4 cup warm water (110°F)
1 cup milk
1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/4 cup honey
1 tsp salt
1 large egg
Instructions
1. Dissolve yeast in warm water and let it stand for 5 minutes.
2. In a saucepan, heat milk until warm, then combine with butter and honey. Mix until smooth.
3. In a large bowl, blend the milk mixture, yeast mixture, salt, and egg. Gradually add flour to form a soft dough.
4. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth, about 8-10 minutes.
5. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
6. Punch down dough and divide into 16 equal pieces. Shape into rolls.
7. Place rolls in a greased baking dish. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 30 minutes.
8. Preheat oven to 375°F. Bake rolls for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown.
9. Brush with additional melted butter and serve warm.
Storage
Store cooled rolls in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
Reheating
Preheat oven to 300°F, wrap rolls in aluminum foil, and warm for 10-15 minutes.
