Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour

3 1/2 tsp baking powder

1 vanilla bean, scraped
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup whole milk
3 large eggs
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
3. Add the scraped vanilla bean seeds and mix thoroughly.
4. In a separate bowl, beat the butter until creamy.
5. Gradually add the milk, eggs, and vanilla extract to the butter, mixing well.
6. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, stirring until a smooth batter forms.
7. Pour batter into a greased and floured cake pan.
8. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
9. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
