Homemade Cinnamon Swirl Bread

This delightful homemade cinnamon swirl bread is perfect for breakfast or a sweet snack, with a tender crumb and a rich cinnamon sugar ribbon.

Ingredients

1 cup milk
1 egg
1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
3 cups bread flour
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp salt
1 package (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp ground cinnamon
1/4 cup raisins (optional)
1 tbsp butter, melted

Instructions

1. Warm the milk slightly and add to the bread machine pan.
2. Add the egg, softened butter, bread flour, granulated sugar, and salt.
3. Make a small well in the dry ingredients and add the yeast.
4. Start the dough cycle on your bread machine.
5. Once the cycle is complete, roll the dough out on a floured surface into a rectangle.
6. Mix the brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle evenly over the dough.
7. Add raisins if desired, then roll the dough tightly into a log.
8. Place the log in a greased loaf pan, cover, and let rise until doubled in size.
9. Preheat oven to 350°F and bake the bread for 30-35 minutes.
10. Brush the top with melted butter once out of the oven and allow to cool.

Storage

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.

Reheating

Reheat slices in a toaster or toaster oven until warm.
