Heritage Stuffed Mushrooms

A delightful appetizer of stuffed mushrooms, capturing the essence of classic flavors with a blend of herbs and cheese, perfect for gatherings and parties.

Ingredients

24 whole white mushrooms
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
2 tbsp olive oil
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Clean mushrooms with a damp cloth and remove stems, setting caps aside.
3. Finely chop the mushroom stems.
4. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
5. Add chopped mushroom stems to the skillet and cook until soft, about 5 minutes.
6. In a bowl, combine cream cheese, Parmesan, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
7. Stir in cooked mushroom stems and breadcrumbs.
8. Spoon the mixture into the mushroom caps and arrange on a baking sheet.
9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the mushrooms are tender and the tops are golden.
10. Serve warm.

Storage

Store leftover stuffed mushrooms in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes or until heated through.
