Heritage Grilled Ribs

Tender and succulent grilled ribs slathered in a rich and tangy homemade sauce, perfect for summer cookouts and gatherings.

Ingredients

2 racks pork ribs
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp smoked paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1 cup water

Instructions

1. Preheat grill to medium heat.
2. In a saucepan, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and water. Simmer for 20 minutes to make the sauce.
3. Remove the membrane from the ribs and season generously with salt and pepper.
4. Place the ribs on the grill and cook for 1.5 to 2 hours, turning occasionally, until tender.
5. During the last 30 minutes, brush the ribs with the sauce every 10 minutes.
6. Remove the ribs from the grill and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Storage

Store leftover ribs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Reheat ribs in a preheated oven at 300°F for about 20 minutes or until heated through.
