Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breast
1 cup plain yogurt
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tsp ground cumin
2 tsp ground coriander
2 tsp garam masala
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp cayenne pepper
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 large onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
1 can (14 oz) tomato sauce
1 cup heavy cream
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
1. In a bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, cumin, coriander, garam masala, turmeric, and cayenne pepper.
2. Add chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Marinate for at least 1 hour or overnight for best results.
3. Preheat oven to 400°F (204°C). Thread marinated chicken onto skewers and place on a baking sheet.
4. Bake for 20 minutes until cooked through, turning once halfway.
5. Meanwhile, heat oil in a large pan over medium heat. Sauté onions until golden brown.
6. Add garlic and ginger, cooking until fragrant.
7. Stir in tomato sauce, cream, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes to blend flavors.
8. Add cooked chicken to the sauce, ensuring it is well-coated. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
9. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
