Herbal Limoncello Delight

Ingredients
10 lemons
1 cup basil leaves
1 cup mint leaves
4 cups vodka
3 cups sugar
3 cups water
Instructions
1. Zest the lemons, avoiding the white pith.
2. In a large jar, combine lemon zest with basil and mint leaves.
3. Pour vodka over the mixture and seal the jar.
4. Store in a cool, dark place for 7 days, shaking daily.
5. After 7 days, create a simple syrup by dissolving sugar in simmering water.
6. Let the syrup cool, then strain the vodka mixture, discarding solids.
7. Combine the strained vodka with the cooled syrup.
8. Pour into bottles and seal.
9. Store in the freezer for a refreshing drink.
Storage
Store in the freezer for up to 6 months.
Reheating
Serve chilled directly from the freezer. Do not reheat.
