2 tbsp olive oil
1 large onion, diced
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 lb ground turkey
1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
1/2 cup red wine
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
2. Add diced onion, minced garlic, and chopped green bell pepper. Sauté until onion is translucent.
3. Add the ground turkey to the pot and cook until browned.
4. Stir in crushed tomatoes, red wine, and tomato paste.
5. Season with oregano, basil, thyme, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
6. Simmer the sauce on low heat for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
7. Stir in fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese before serving.

Storage

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Reheating

Reheat on the stove over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until warmed through. Alternatively, microwave on medium power in one-minute increments.
