Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 large egg
1/4 cup finely chopped fresh parsley
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1 cup beef broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, parsley, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
2. Form mixture into four equal patties.
3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add patties and cook until browned on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side.
4. Remove patties from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add butter and mushrooms, cooking until mushrooms are tender.
5. Stir in flour and garlic powder, cooking for 1 minute to form a roux. Gradually whisk in beef broth and heavy cream, bringing to a simmer.
6. Return patties to the skillet, cover, and simmer for an additional 10 minutes, allowing flavors to meld and sauce to thicken.
7. Serve hot, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
