Ingredients

4 (1-inch thick) bone-in pork chops
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
1 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
2 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
1 tbsp butter

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
2. Season pork chops with salt and pepper.
3. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear pork chops 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
4. In the same skillet, add butter and sauté onions until translucent, about 5 minutes.
5. Add garlic, rosemary, and thyme; cook for 1 minute.
6. Stir in flour, cooking for 2 minutes until lightly golden.
7. Gradually whisk in chicken broth and heavy cream, simmering until thickened.
8. Return pork chops to the skillet, spooning sauce over them.
9. Transfer skillet to the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, until pork is cooked through.
10. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Storage

Store leftover pork chops in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Reheat in the oven at 350°F for 15-20 minutes or until heated through. You may also microwave on medium power for 2-3 minutes, checking frequently.
