Heirloom Cabbage Rolls

Ingredients
1 large head of cabbage
1 lb ground beef
1/2 lb ground pork
1 cup cooked white rice
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 egg
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp paprika
1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
1/2 cup beef broth
1 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Remove the core from the cabbage and carefully peel off the leaves. Blanch the leaves in boiling water for 2-3 minutes until pliable.
3. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, ground pork, cooked rice, onion, garlic, egg, salt, pepper, and paprika.
4. Place a generous spoonful of the meat mixture onto each cabbage leaf and roll it up, tucking in the sides.
5. Place the rolls seam-side down in a baking dish. Pour tomato sauce and beef broth over the rolls.
6. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 1.5 hours.
7. Remove the foil for the last 15 minutes of baking to allow the top to brown slightly.
Storage
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheating
Reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F for 15-20 minutes or until heated through.
