Hearty Stuffed Peppers

Delight in this hearty stuffed peppers recipe with a blend of seasoned beef, rice, and cheese, perfect for a satisfying family meal.

Ingredients

4 large bell peppers
1 lb ground beef
1 cup cooked white rice
1 cup marinara sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp dried Italian herbs

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes.
3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until softened.
4. Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
5. Stir in cooked rice, marinara sauce, salt, black pepper, and Italian herbs. Mix well and remove from heat.
6. Stuff each bell pepper with the beef and rice mixture.
7. Place stuffed peppers in a baking dish and cover with foil.
8. Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes.
9. Remove foil, sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top of each pepper.
10. Return to oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Storage

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Reheat in a 350°F oven for 20 minutes or until heated through, or microwave on high for 2-3 minutes.
