Hearty Sausage and Egg Bake

Ingredients

Sausage links
8 oz breakfast sausage
Eggs
12 large eggs
Milk
1 cup whole milk
Cheddar cheese
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Salt
1 tsp salt
Black pepper
1/2 tsp black pepper
Butter
2 tbsp unsalted butter
Onions
1/2 cup diced onions

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sauté onions until translucent.
3. Add sausage and cook until browned, breaking it into crumbles.
4. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
5. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish and spread the cooked sausage and onions evenly.
6. Pour the egg mixture over the sausage layer.
7. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top evenly.
8. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes until eggs are set and cheese is golden brown.
9. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Storage

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
