Hearty Rustic Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredients
1.5 lbs ground beef
1 large onion, finely chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 cans (28 oz each) crushed tomatoes
1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
1 cup beef broth
1/2 cup red wine
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tsp sugar
1 tbsp dried basil
1 tbsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
2. Add the chopped onion and garlic; sauté until the onion is translucent.
3. Add ground beef to the pot, cooking until browned.
4. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, and beef broth.
5. Pour in the red wine and bring to a simmer.
6. Add sugar, basil, oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
7. Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
8. Stir in fresh parsley and Parmesan cheese before serving.
Storage
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
