Hearty Homemade Chili

Ingredients
2 lbs ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 green bell pepper, chopped
2 (14.5 oz) cans diced tomatoes
1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
1 (15 oz) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 (15 oz) can black beans, drained and rinsed
2 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1 cup water
Instructions
1. In a large pot over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
2. Add the chopped onion, garlic, and green bell pepper. Sauté until the onion is translucent.
3. Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, kidney beans, black beans, and water.
4. Add chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Stir well to combine.
5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
6. Adjust seasoning to taste, and serve hot.
Storage
Store chili in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
Reheating
Reheat chili in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until heated through. You can also reheat in the microwave in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every minute until warm.
