Hearty Beef Sandwiches

Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
1 tsp minced garlic
1 cup tomato sauce
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar
Salt and pepper to taste
4 sandwich buns
Instructions
1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
2. Add chopped onion and green bell pepper to the skillet and sauté until softened, about 4 minutes.
3. Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.
4. Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar to the skillet. Stir well to combine.
5. Season with salt and pepper, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
6. Toast sandwich buns and spoon the beef mixture onto the bottom halves. Cover with top halves and serve warm.
Storage
Store leftover beef mixture in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheating
Reheat beef mixture in a skillet over medium heat until warmed through, or microwave in 30-second intervals until hot.
