Ingredients
4 large apples, peeled and sliced
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup old-fashioned oats
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 lemon, juiced
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a large bowl, combine sliced apples and lemon juice. Toss to coat evenly.
3. In another bowl, mix flour, oats, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
4. Add softened butter and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until crumbly.
5. Spread the apples evenly in a 9x13-inch baking dish.
6. Sprinkle the crumb mixture over the apples, ensuring full coverage.
7. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
8. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm.
