Harvest Apple Spice Cake

Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon cloves
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 cups diced apples (preferably Granny Smith)
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
3. In another bowl, mix melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract and pour into the dry ingredients.
4. Fold in the diced apples and walnuts until evenly distributed.
5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
6. Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
7. Drizzle with caramel sauce while the cake is still warm, then let it cool before serving.
Storage
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to 5 days.
Reheating
Reheat individual slices in the microwave for 20-30 seconds or until warm.
