Ingredients
1 lb spicy Italian sausage
8 oz sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup chopped green onions
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/4 tsp ground cumin
20 slices cocktail rye bread
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
3. Add the spicy Italian sausage, breaking it into small pieces, and cook until browned.
4. Drain excess fat from the skillet.
5. Stir in sour cream, smoked paprika, ground cumin, and black pepper.
6. Add shredded cheddar cheese and mix until the cheese is melted and well incorporated.
7. Arrange rye bread slices on a baking sheet.
8. Spoon the sausage and cheese mixture onto each slice.
9. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes or until the bread is crispy and the topping is bubbly.
10. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve warm.
Storage
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheat in a 350°F oven for 5-7 minutes until heated through.
