Golden Vanilla Dream Cake

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup whole milk
3 large eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup plain yogurt

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
3. In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
5. Mix in the vanilla and almond extracts.
6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.
7. Fold in the yogurt until just combined.
8. Pour the batter into the prepared pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
9. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
10. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Storage

Store the cake in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the refrigerator for up to a week.

Reheating

To reheat, place a slice on a microwave-safe plate and warm in the microwave for about 15-20 seconds, or enjoy it at room temperature.
